House of Hop

We decided to head to Geraldine for Kings Birthday weekend. After looking for options of places to park up we stumbled onto the House of Hop, located only 7 minutes just out of Geraldine up State Highway 79. They have a POP (site ID 7878) with a spacious parking area for self contained vehicles. It is free to stay and pet friendly.

Obviously staying next to the brewery we had to try out their restaurant and craft beer. Bookings are essential as they get very busy. The food was amazing with a great selection to choose from. The Buttermilk Fried Chicken was so delicious we had to return the following afternoon to have it again. Brent sampled a number of their craft beers and even bought some cans to takeaway. His favourites were the West Coast IPA and the stout. I love a good mulled wine so had to sample one. It was one of best the I've ever had. Definitely no packet or cask rubbish. It is made fresh daily from scratch with top ingredients such as Oyster Bay Merlot, Brandy, star anise, cloves, oranges and a few other goodies to make it so scrumptious.

We could not rave about this place more. The outstanding friendly service, incredible food and range of craft beers make this place a destination. Being able to walk back to our caravan after a few drinks was also a bonus.
