We headed out for a treat for lunch at the Blacks Hotel in Ophir.
Blacks is a wonderful country pub just a short ride from the Otago Central Rail Trail in Central Otago. It is a 1920’s Art Deco Hotel with a whole lot of heart. This hotel has some great features with the publicans providing a warm, friendly space in the stunning countryside. There is a great collection of whiskeys, gins, local wines and craft beers.
For lunch we chose a beef burger and a crispy chicken burger. Both were extremely tasty and the chips divine.
Sitting outside in the garden was the perfect spot to be a on a beautiful summers day. There are rustic table and chairs painted in different colours. The hotel also has accommodation and the rooms are themed with different names.
